Legacy Fashion Outlets-Rosemont, Illinois

Bringing a major outlet center to the Chicagoland area is a significant component of the Rosemont entertainment and mixed-use zone.  Aria Group Architects developed this schematic design for the center.  Planned to be located just south of Balmoral Ave. and directly east of Interstate 294, the building is situated with its main entry centered on Legacy Boulevard. 

There will be over 500,000 SF of gross area on 2 floors consisting of designer retail stores, entertainment venues and a central sky lit atrium.  Current plans also include underground parking accessible by elevator/escalator light-wells providing direct access to the central atrium.  Additional parking will be provided by a new parking garage that will have an enclosed pedestrian bridge to the outlet center.  The building’s 1,260 foot long façade is articulated with undulating masses and illuminated multi-layered glass graphics walls.

The current design for the inner court includes a tensile fabric covering over a 2 story framed structure .  Exterior materials of pre-cast concrete, granite and stainless steel contribute to a contemporary vernacular.  State of the art LED displays and LED lighting will be integrated into the design of the building as features that provide information, advertising and energy to the retail experience.
