Longtime friends John Elway, Tim Schmidt and Tom Moxcey hired Aria Group Architects, Inc. to
design a new 8,800 square foot 250-seat restaurant where guests could enter a lively, adventurous
and friendly setting of a Rocky Mountain lodge to enjoy steak and seafood entrees. Aria
Group's design completely transforms the existing building, a former Mexican restaurant, by
relocating the entrance to the center of the space and exchanging the existing interior for a
fresh, new layout. The new, vaulted contemporary entry of stone, glass and metal gives Elway’s
a visible presence without imposing on its neighbors in Denver’s Cherry Creek neighborhood. A
custom designed granite waterfall, symbolizing the Rockies, soothes guests as they enter the
bright, open seating environment that comprises a bar, dining rooms and private
dining.
