Aria Group was retained in 2003 to update California Pizza Kitchen’s black/white appearance.
As a result. CPK’s distinctive pizza, pastas, salads and soups are now being served in a new
environment of cherry and walnut veneered woods, colorful fabrics, natural tone paints, limestone
floors and cultured stone feature walls as shown here in the images for the Foxwoods Casino
location in Connecticut.
This new warmer, upscale feeling is enhanced with the use of dramatic lighting, soaring
ceiling elements and forms. Yet, the pizza oven remains the heart of the restaurant, clad in a
golden yellow glass tile that grabs the attention of the customer as they enter the restaurant. It
is ringed by a curved stone dining counter, double sided booths and a floating ceiling element
above.
Some other features of the restaurant include a lit wine cabinet display, custom light fixture
centerpieces and artwork thru out.
The Foxwoods location, opened in mid 2006, is just one of over 30 CPK’s that Aria has produced
in the last three years with this new design approach.
