This is the thirteenth Kona Grill, and second in the Chicagoland area for Scottsdale, Arizona based Kona Grill. Designed to “blend” within the concept of the landlord’s new lifestyle center in Oak Brook, Illinois, this specific Kona Grill utilized a combination of rich, red masonry, multi-colored slate, cultured stone & tan stucco on the exterior. The design includes quality interior finishes that brand Kona Grill and provide the familiarity to their clients. The oceanic blue walls with figured mahogany panels along with the purple & tan soffits maintain the warmth of the dining room. Two, ten foot long salt water aquariums provide a focal element behind the sushi chef’s as they prepare their creations. The lounge and dining room are divided with full height glass to provide views of the bar energy but maintain the intimate feel of the dining room. The indoor / outdoor bar and fully covered patio, staples for Kona Grill, is also included at this location.
