This concept for Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises has evolved over time. The Glenview restaurant it the third in a series of free standing buildings where Aria Group had the opportunity to design out of the box and create an exterior envelop that reflected the character of the interior. The building is an eclectic reinterpretation of supper club styles that began in the 1920’ and continued through the mid 1950’s. Vermont Verde Antique marble, stainless steel canopies and wood paneled rain screen walls are featured in this design.

Rich Melman (founder and CEO of LEYE) wanted Aria to create an environment with high energy and exciting visuals. The interior is also an eclectic mix of vocabularies with strong art deco references. The plan was developed to focus the dining rooms toward the exposed cook line where open wood fires are used by the chef’s staff to prepare their signature dishes. Details such as authentic period light fixtures and black and white photography enhance the retro quality of the dining experience.
