In the 1980s, Robert Brozin and Fernando Duarte started Nando’s – a chicken restaurant featuring Peri-Peri chili sauces in Johannesburg, South Africa. Their inspiration came from cuisine created centuries ago by Portuguese settlers in South Africa. When the concept developed a devoted following, Nando’s spread worldwide. Since the start of our relationship in 2007, Aria Group has helped Nando’s expand in the US Market with 30 locations around the Washington DC and Chicagoland areas. Aria Group also works with Nando’s Canada, completing work on 17 locations. Casual comfort, natural materials, and support of contemporary African artists are key elements of the design, but each location reflects local flavor.
