Matthew Shoener, AIA
As an Associate and Project Manager, Matthew helps to facilitate clear communication between design and technical staff and works with the principal architect and project manager in connecting with clients. He ensures that the technical drawings convey design intent and that scheduling and technical goals are met in order to ensure a smooth work process and optimal results for every project. Some concepts Matthew has worked on include Multiple locations of California Pizza Kitchen, of which the Century City location is most recent. Several Nando’s Peri Peri locations in and around Chicago have been completed on Matthew’s watch including the Wabash, Oakbrook and Naperville locations. TopGolf, Leon, various LaTasca concepts, and many boutique restaurant locations such as Pono Ono Poke round out recent projects Matthew has been involved in.
Matthew graduated from University of Illinois at Chicago with two bachelor degrees in Architecture and European History and completed his Masters of Architecture in 2011. He is an American Institute of Architects member, and is a licensed architect in the state of Illinois. On his off time, Matthew enjoys reading, amateur woodworking, and attempting to teach his son to throw a baseball ambidextrously.
