Working with longtime clients Roanoke Hospitality and Prime Group, Aria was tasked with transforming an existing restaurant space within the Kimpton Gray Hotel into a bold new Italian dining experience. Many of the finishes and furnishings required updates due to normal wear and tear, giving us the opportunity to integrate new features throughout the space.
Working within the historic New York Life Insurance building, originally built in 1894, we endeavored to preserve the classic charm of the space while updating it with a modern flair. Finding the right balance is key to designing a space which honors the past and feels at home in its environment while also making its own distinct design statement.
