Nando’s Michigan Avenue in Chicago showcases the eclectic, handcrafted look we’ve cultivated in our catalog of Nando’s locations. We honored our use of natural materials and bold graphic elements to make the space as colorful and lively as its South African origins. This location’s crown jewel is a gorgeous custom lighting installation above the entry staircase. Crafted by by South African lighting designer Tulsha Booysen, the fixture utilizes upcycled cans to create a vibrant piece of functional art. Unique elements like these give every space its own sense of character. A varied but cohesive design strategy allows individual spaces like this to shine in their own right while contributing to the brand’s visual identity and reputation for excellence.
