Inspired by the warm California sun and beachy atmosphere, Mastro’s Ocean Club features a sun-drenched palette of golden and bronze tones alongside light and breezy finishes. A remodel of a previous Del Frisco’s Grille, this project preserved most of the existing architecture and operational elements while infusing the space with a fresh, contemporary energy. The renovation brought a touch of elegance and luxury, adding a boardroom behind the bar and elevating the coastal-inspired atmosphere with high-end metal and stone finishes complimenting the grounded color palette of warm neutrals. The design entwines Mastro’s classic steakhouse aesthetic with the luminous energy of the California coast.

Dramatic light fixtures make an immediate and striking impression, inviting guests to engage with the space and immerse themselves in their surroundings. A lighter color palette evokes the bright and airy energy of Southern California, while luxe furnishings tie in the refined ambiance patrons have come to expect from the Mastro’s brand. Buttery leather upholstery and natural finishes blend with a balanced sensibility at home in the modern California design landscape. This delicate harmony bridges traditional glamour and fresh, relaxed energy to create an atmosphere all its own.
The bar features a standout moment in the form of a layered lighting fixture. Bridging the gap between function and artistry, gold chain details drip from above to reflect an ethereal glow. The soft, warm light envelops the bar, drawing guests into the glowing atmosphere. This feature is echoed in each space of the restaurant. Soft, radiant light makes the sunroom perfect for a sunset dinner, and hanging fixtures in the entry and main dining keep the energy of the space breezy and elegant. Every vantage point offers a unique experience, leaving every guest with the sense they have the best seat in the house.
