Project Includes

Honoring Perkins’ enduring legacy as a beloved pancake house since 1958, the design for the revitalized restaurant and bakery embraces its significant presence across the United States and Canada. This project signifies an exciting evolution, aiming to attract a contemporary clientele while respecting the brand’s loyal patrons. Aria was privileged to contribute to this new chapter.

The interior design harmoniously blends classic comfort with modern aesthetics, fostering an inclusive environment. Perkins’ signature green is thoughtfully integrated into wall paneling and counter tiles, complemented by reflective mirrors, warm wood accents, neutral tones, and subtle stripes. This cohesive palette cultivates a welcoming, comfortable, and family-oriented atmosphere.

Perkins’ bakery is a key design feature directly upon entry. Open wooden shelving showcases fresh goods, enhanced by subtle brass details for warmth. Globe pendant lighting offers a nod to mid-century design, while black-and-white patterned floor tile effectively defines the service zone and adds visual dynamism.

The dining space provides versatile arrangement of both booth and freestanding seating options to accommodate a diverse range of guests, from individuals to larger groups. The exterior design maintains a clean and inviting aesthetic, utilizing materials and colors that are consistent with the established Perkins brand identity. Update signage modernizes the facade, while expansive windows maximize natural light within the interior. Millwork trim details provide a subtle connection to classic Perkins’ architectural elements, reimagined with a contemporary sensibility. The resulting design establishes a welcoming and recognizable presence, seamlessly bridging the brand’s rich history with its promising future.
