Quartino

  • Location(s): The Colony, TX
  • Size: 12,860 square feet
  • Project Includes: Architecture & Interiors

Quartino, a veteran of the Chicago food scene, opened its first Texas location in the expansive Grandscape at The Colony. Crafted by Aria Group in partnership with Gibsons Restaurant Group, the project drew inspiration from the brand’s roots around the globe. The final design brings together the tradition and food culture of Italy with the energy and atmosphere of Chicago in a Texas-sized space.

Sunlight streams through the windows, illuminating reclaimed wall tiles and deep wood tones. Modern lighting and plush seating add a touch of contemporary comfort, while special booths and textured ceiling panels create an intimate and comfortable atmosphere. Mosaic floors at the entrance complete the Italian feel.

The focus at Quartino is on creating a communal dining experience. Their menu features small, shareable plates, perfectly complemented by a carefully curated wine list highlighting small producers and family-owned operations. Open kitchens put the culinary artistry on display, allowing guests to witness the dedication and skill that goes into each dish, from hand-rolled pasta to handcrafted cocktails. The two-story space seamlessly transitions from a lively indoor dining area to a refreshing outdoor patio, offering a unique dining experience for every guest.

The space extends through two levels of dining room and bar seating, transitioning from lively indoor space to a refreshing patio. Found and custom décor finalize the unique aesthetic. A split-flap letter board displays announcements and sports scores to guests in the indoor bar area. Reminiscent of those found in Italian train stations, the board further puts guests in a globetrotting mindset, taking them on a journey through the menu highlighting approachable specialty dishes from different regions of Italy.
